2021 Brecon Rose (New Release)
Third time really is a charm, so they say. This is after all Brecon's third ever Rose. Made more for socializing than the first two covid babies. Those previous renditions shocked us by selling out in double quick time, even while folks were supposed to be isolating. Ironically, our winemaker's wife completely missed the first release, returning from downunder the week after it sold out. The irony being it was her, decades long, unrelenting cajoling, that made him craft it in the first place. She is of course in OZ again. Drink up, a double irony would be most amusing.
Red berries and refreshing white cherry notes, it's a dry, dry Bordeaux inspired refreshing Rose. With a lightness of touch that comes directly from fifty plus year old Cabernet Sauvignon. grapes. Perhaps you can indeed teach an old vine a new trick.
