2018 Brecon Forty-Two (Library, Club Only!)
What is the meaning of Man? Whence did he come? Whither does he go? Curiously the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, from which this 42 gets inspiration tried to answer this exact question ie “the answer to life, the universe and everything”. While waiting for the answer, it might take eons to elucidate by the way...why not delve into this soft, velvety smooth veritable bowl of forest fruits? You might even come up smelling of Petunias. Oh no not again!

Production notes
You would not want to be a pollster trying to predict the breakdown of the various components in this perennial blend as there often seems no rhyme or reason. This is the most radical change in the 42 blend composition we have had in many years. A veritable tidal wave of Petite Sirah and the Mourvedre has been somewhat sidelined. It's not always the logical or strongest opinion that always wins and the answer can take weeks to resolve. Of course all these various opinions reside/emanate from inside our winemakers lopsided noggin.

Calcareous sub soils forever. This is part of the Brecon story and translates to super food friendly, brighter wines and impressive color depth. The biggest vineyard component is from Glenrose. An imposing vineyard on the Southern edge of the Adelaida District. It’s acute slopes are terraced to maximize sun exposure and is considered a veritable treasure among the winemaking fraternity of Paso Robles.
