2025 Brecon Rosé (Just Released)
By no means your average tutti-frutti rosé. These vines have some serious life experience, having lived through several decades, two different centuries, and two different millennia before finally finding their true calling. A refreshing white cherry and berry medley, this dry, Bordeaux-inspired rosé is oh-so seductive, with a sophisticated “old crooner” touch that comes directly from historic old Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Perhaps you really can teach an old vine to mellow with time. Sit by the pool, relax, watch the world fly by, the paint dry, and the grass grow. Enjoy!
Production notes
Everything you would expect. Moonlight picking, pressing on a misty morning, frigid ferments to retain aromatics, horse whisperings, maypole dances, church bells and serenading by Mongolian throat singers. Each of our favorite warblers, I mean, varieties, and this year there’s a sextet, adding to the complex harmony.

These Brecon vines were born in the 70s. Spent their childhood in the indie pop 80’s. Were packaged inappropriately in the 70s and 80s. Undoubtedly partied hard in the 80s and 90s. Put down deep roots by the 90s. Took risks through it all until stabilizing their lives in the 2000s. Became more sophisticated after 2012 (Brecon took over), and now fully respected for the visionary historic planting they truly are.
