Here you get the crisp refreshing approachability of a super premium Grenache Blanc deftly melded with a trio of stylistically disparate Viogniers. Somehow that works superbly. Don’t ask how, must be the magic of the craft. In time expect stone fruit flavors to dominate, such as nectarines and peaches, while clean citrus characters currently shine through. Wonderfully layered aromatics, rich golden straw color and a very intriguing palate. It's the consummate al fresco food wine. A veritable salad bowl of citrus and stone fruit characters.

Viognier in particular has a multitude of expressions. Here we use three distinctly different ones to provide multiple layers of complexity and, of course, to mess a little with your palate. La Vista is a sun drenched slope. Its style more akin to big oily winter warming viogniers. Combine this with the more steely citrus characters of Paragon’s maritime influenced location and further confuse the issue with a little Webster. A vineyard tucked away in its own little shady hollow. It comes in late but has devine aromatics. Overall between the Templeton Gap and Edna Valley influences you can probably put this blend in more of a cool climate camp than its Paso Appellation might suggest.
