2013 Brecon Viognier
This Viognier is known for its wonderful aromatics. It has a riper style, dictated by the steep, sun-drenched, south facing high slopes of La Vista vineyard’s block, high above Adelaida Road. Expect the flavours of stone fruit (such as nectarines and peaches) to dominate. Clean citrus characters shine through up front, with a lingering richness on the finish.
Production notes
Characterised by a little bit of this and a little bit of that!. No one technique dominating, rather they all complement the fruit and contribute to complex style. You will find the influence of both new and neutral oak. Sur Les’s fermentation, lees stirring, partial malolactic. Combine this with a touch of Marsanne (8%) for mid pallet weight and a mere 3% Rousanne to bolster that lingering finish.
