2019 Brecon Rose (Library, Club Only!)
Less than 33 bottles remaining!
Been in a bit of bother with “Her Indoors” for some time now for not making a Rosé. You might say it's been seven years in the nagging (oops) err making. So while the wife’s away.. time to release our first ever Rosé. One we are happy to hang Brecon’s veritable hat on. Holding out for such an extended period has really enabled us to define what a stunning Paso Rosé should look like not just in terms of low alcohol and calorie content but an intriguing flavor profile. Some might say eminently refreshing, with white cherry and raspberries, and an almost provencal lemon thyme savory after note.

Production notes
Everything you would expect. Moonlight picking, rushed to press, icy cold ferments to retain aromatics, horse whisperings, maypole dances, stone circles and gratuitous tank huggings. Each of our favorite children, I mean varietals adding extra dimensions.

In a reverse of modern psychology we have carefully sought some heritage clones for our Rosé program. Mostly because many of the modern red grape clones were bred for tannins, depth of color and structure. Whereas in our more classical Rosé we are looking for a softness in the palate, delicate hues, heaps of aromatics and mouth watering balancing acidity. You even find Valdiguie in the blend, the California acreage of which has dropped precipitously in recent times.
