Light yellow. Peach, ripe pear and white flowers on the nose. Fleshy and open-knit, with depth to its pit fruit and honey flavors. In a rich style for the variety, finishing smooth and spicy, with good cling, Stephen Tanzer Nov 2013
Albarino is best known for its wonderfully crisp yet aromatic food wines when grow its homeland plateaus of central Spain. Brecon of course adds a few twists transplanting ours to within 2.5 miles of one of the Central Coasts most renowned beaches. Marine fogs cool the grapes meaning a long ripening period and super intense flavors and aromatics. Complexity and citrine characters are deftly melded in by the careful use of some Viognier (19%) from the Hastings Ranch on the now famous Adelaida road.
